Cellar Dweller and AMAEA Join Forces to Deliver New Smoke Remediation Technology to the British Columbian Wine Industry

Cellar Dweller Mobile Filter Service

amaea is excited to announce our partnership with Cellar Dweller, one of British Columbia’s most respected service providers, renowned for their expertise in delivering mobile filtration services to the wine industry.

Through this partnership, winemakers will be able to access our innovative molecular filtration technology for the tailored treatment of smoke impacted wine.

Developed to specifically capture the volatile phenols attributed to smoke flavor and aroma, our system not only removes smoke impacts, but enables winemakers to retain varietal characteristics and the body of the wine.

“Every wine and smoke event is different. Therefore, being able to provide winemakers with the ability to tailor treatments, so that they can still achieve the sensory outcomes they desire, is invaluable,” says Jonathan Engle, Chief Revenue Officer for amaea.

“In the current climate where wildfires are relentlessly hitting the region, with amaea’s technology in hand, winemakers are able to better prepare and develop strategies to treat and mitigate the impact of smoke on wine grapes – without compromising on quality.

“Our technology, coupled with Cellar Dweller’s extensive understanding of the wine industry, makes us confident that together we can deliver exceptional outcomes for winemakers in British Columbia.”

Beyond smoke impact, we have ambitious plans to extend this collaboration to address other issues for the industry, such as Brettanomyces taint, polyphenol fining, and other day-to-day challenges faced by winemakers.

“We are excited to embark on this journey with amaea as we believe this partnership is a turning point for how the wine industry approaches technology-driven solutions. Together, we will pave the way to enhance quality, sustainability, and innovation in the British Columbia wine sector,” says Robert Kwakernaak, General Manager, Cellar Dweller.
